After months of waiting, days of arguing and many cups of coffee, it’s here- Prize Fest kicks off tonight! Over the next few days you will be making merry with: 20 films, eight bands, and five culinary creatives who will go mano-a-mano in the Iron Chef event we like to call the Golden Fork.
Tonight’s schedule:
Tonight the action happens in the 500 block of Texas Street adjacent to The Missing Link restaurant. The Discovery Showcase portion of the Music Prize will feature local bands Ghostfoot, Good Spirits, The Joanitones, Logan & The Legendaries, and Ricky Latt & Tipsey the Band, who are vying for the Music Prize mantle, fame, glory, cash AND a slot on stage with Bully and Superchunk for a blowout show Saturday night!
Viewing of the Orange and Teal slates for the Louisiana Film Prize start tonight at two locations in the 600 block of Texas Street (Robinson Film Center and Nouveau Theater and kick off in earnest at all downtown and Bossier locations on Friday morning.
The battle for the Golden Fork happens Friday night in the 700 block of Texas Street, followed by the first ever Downtown Food Crawl.
